This is a pair of new tunes that were written and recorded in March 2017. Both songs were recorded very live and a bit raw in The Jim Howell Music Studio (with no overdubs.)

The Jim Howell Band resides somewhere between the country styles of Honky-Tonk, Outlaw, and Americana while venturing comfortably into rock and soul leanings. Seared in the arid desert sounds of their native Tucson, the band’s music is also steeped in the humid essence of the musically rich south. The La Madera Three recording features Jim Howell and Loren Dircks on acoustic guitars and Michael Santander on cello. Their acoustic trio format allows the melodies to breathe and lyrics to resonate.
