This title track is a tribute to four friends lost a few years ago. It took some time to process this grief into a song and I wrote three songs, over the span of a year, about it that eventually led to the lyrics, chords and melodies of those songs combining to form this one song. Hold your friends close because you never know when you'll be saying goodbye. I was with Shorty on the night he died and said goodnight and I love you to him with a hug, not knowing that hours later he would be gone.

Verse one is about Amy and Derrick Ross, verse two is about Shorty Stubbs and verse three is about Ryan Brunner. May their memories be eternal.

Silver Clouds with darkened linings
Bright blue skies and the moon’s a risin’
When the sun shines down upon my tear streaked face

Verse 1:
Two kind souls lost all too soon
One lied still in the operating room
While her one true love his heart in hand
Drove home all alone and found peace in the end

Bridge:
My blood runs cold while my eyes leak
Head bowed down my mind can’t speak
Feet move slow and deliberately
My mouth sown shut and my heart weeps

Verse 2:
Shorty lived to dance, and sing and strum
And throw some back with the best of ‘um
But that one late night he stayed on too long
Now all his friends gather while he’s gone

Verse 3:
Young buck named Clyde in the Haggard tee
Played the strings so low effortlessly
On the week of the show rather than onstage
He took his last breath inside his locked garage
